Meet the founder

Steve Victor
Founder, PitchID
“We’ve made it easier than ever to apply for jobs, but have we made it harder to recognise genuine talent?”
I posted a sales role on Indeed. Hundreds of applications came in, and every CV and covering letter looked flawless, probably AI-written. They all sounded like the best salesperson alive. But once I got them on a call, it was a different person, and I’d just burned an hour. The ATS sorted the keywords fine, but it couldn’t tell me who was real.
So PitchID adds that screen: a short video where candidates show who they actually are before I spend time on them. And it fits how younger candidates already work. They’re used to recording themselves, so it’s one more thing they do naturally, not another form to fill in.
When every CV looks perfect, how do you find the person?
PitchID is the bridge between the application and the real candidate.

More than a CV
Authentic introductions
Candidates speak in their own words — not keywords rewritten for a filter.
Guided, job-specific video pitches
Prompts written from the candidate's CV and the job description, so nobody stares at a blank camera.
More control over your first impression
Record, review and retake in your own time, before anything reaches an employer.
Everyone deserves the chance to be seen.
PitchID is being built with an ambition: to help disabled candidates, neurodivergent people and those facing mental health challenges get past barriers a written CV can’t see. It’s a goal we’re working towards, not a promise we’ve already kept.
